Job Cost Data
Accurate and timely job costing is essential
in the construction industry. Every contractor
has struggled with making project management decisions
based on inaccurate or old job costing data. By
the time you receive the data to make decisions
about how the job should proceed, the job has
already changed significantly. You need to know
exactly where every job stands in real-time, every
day to make solid, informed project management
decisions.
ComputerEase is a fully integrated system. All
information is integrated, throughout the system,
immediately from the moment that data is entered.
When your payroll clerk enters a crew's hours
into the system, job costing is automatically,
instantly updated. When your purchasing clerk
enters a new PO, that cost appears immediately
in job costing.
Management
reports are quickly and easily available at any
time and include:
- work in progress
- labor analysis
- job percent complete
- units complete
The information in that report will reflect the
job in as "real time" as the data that
has been entered into the ComputerEase system.
Real-time job costing and cost projections give
you the power to better control your jobs by revealing
out-of-spec issues before your bottom line is
affected.
Job labor is the key.
Many contractors are labor intensive. One of the
more useful labor reports is the Labor Analysis
Report which is accessed off the Job Center. A project
manager will use this report to measure actual job
production against the estimated rate of production.
While at the Job Center, also view the Troubleshooter
report. This report highlights any and all labor
problems on the job. You will note the problems
are presented in easy to read text summaries.
